Responsibilities
As a Middle Office Specialist - Fixed Income & Derivatives, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
-Supporting daily post-trade activities during core Toronto business hours.
-Assisting with global CCP portfolio compression processes, documentation, and reporting.
-Overseeing the reconciliation, validation, and payment processing of Interest Rate Derivative brokerage and fees.
-Investigating and resolving complex trade-level cash breaks and operational discrepancies.
-Performing ad-hoc bulk lifecycle actions and supporting critical corporate action postings.
-Responding to internal queries relating to risk, P&L, and funding differences.
-Partnering closely with internal global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
-Updating operational procedures to maintain rigorous control and audit compliance.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate brings a strong background in middle-office operations and a deep understanding of fixed-income products.
Must Haves:
-Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated Middle Office experience within Capital Markets.
-Product Knowledge: 5 years of hands-on experience working with Fixed Income products and Interest Rate Derivatives.
-Operational Background: Proven track record with rate cards, brokerage processing, or middle-office lifecycle management.
-Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal global teams.
Nice to Haves:
-Advanced proficiency in Excel, formulas, and VBA to drive process efficiencies.
-Prior specialized experience with Portfolio Compression processes.
-Familiarity or comfort using AI assistants and modern digital productivity tools.
