Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Tasks:
Repair & Maintenance: Fix and maintain shop equipment including CNC lathes, manual mills, plate rollers, saws, and air compressors.
Scheduling: Plan out your own daily work and assign specific repair tasks to other maintenance staff.
Preventative Work: Perform regular inspections and electrical/mechanical checks to stop breakdowns before they happen.
Breakdown Support: Lead the repair efforts when machines go down and investigate why it happened to prevent it from repeating.
Collaboration: Work with machine operators to improve safety and reduce machine downtime.
On-Call: Be available to handle repairs on essential equipment when needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Certification: 433a or registered apprentice
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience working in a factory or plant in the maintenance department
Technical Skills: Must know how to work on heavy machinery and have basic knowledge of PLCs and control systems.
Other Skills: Good communication skills and comfortable using a computer for basic tasks.
