Responsibilities
• Coordinate all FCL /LCL Import/ Export Oceanfreight activities
• Ensure daily communication and close monitoring and follow-up with agents overseas, steamship line, vendors, truckers, customers, warehouses, customs broker, CBSA, Port Authority, etc.
• Ensure client profile and their SOP are maintained and followed
• Negotiate & obtain rates with carriers and provide quotes to customers
• Open, track & trace & update files in CargoWise
• Update & follow up with customers on their freight’s movements
• Prepare and obtain required documents (e.g., SWB, CERS, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Manifests, E-Manifest, SDS/DG Docs)
• Track and trace closely shipments in collaboration with carriers (steamship line, truckers), and overseas agents.
• Arrange pick-up or deliveries in coordination with shipper or consignees and truckers
• Filing/Forwarding E-Manifest & communicate with carriers and customs broker regarding customs releases of shipment)
• Handle each quote and file to completion including rating both cost and sell and filing all necessary correspondence and documents
• Collaborate with the sales department (potential client, client relationship, quotation…)
• Verifying OBL & payment requirements prior to shipment release for delivery
• Complete and collect invoice and POD copy from carrier to close files and bill customers
• Perform any other tasks that may contribute to the team
• Client PO Management
Qualifications
- 4 years experience in Ocean Logistics
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Cargowise software experience is an asset
