Responsibilities
Coffee Bar & Café Operations
-Beverage Crafting: Partner with the Café Coordinator to expertly prepare and serve high-quality hot and cold beverages, including espresso, teas, and specialty lattes.
-Café Coverage: Act as the primary operator of the Coffee Bar on a regular basis whenever the lead Café Coordinator is away or unavailable and work together when available.
-Inventory & Ordering: Track, manage, and place orders for all Coffee Bar supplies, pantry snacks, beverage fridges, and specialized LCBO/wine orders.
-Station Replenishment: Routinely restock milk, cream, sugar, cups, lids, and stir sticks, and keep the fruit bowl and snack stations full.
-Sanitization & Upkeep: Clean and maintain all specialized coffee bar equipment, sanitize surfaces, unload/reload dishwashers, and manage fridge/pantry organization.
Meeting, Catering & Event Support
-Meeting Prep: Prepare boardrooms with required catering, packaged snacks (yogurt, granola, chips), and beverages prior to high-level client meetings.
-Event Coordination: Assist with external catering orders and handle the physical setup and cleanup for internal and external corporate events, including charitable initiatives.
General Office Experience Coordination
-Facilities & Clutter Management: Proactively monitor common areas, boardrooms, and kitchens to ensure the environment always looks professional, clean, tidy, and welcoming.
-Front Desk & Admin Support: Provide reception relief when needed, coordinate courier logistics, handle stationery inventory, and assist with employee gift/swag orders.
-Operational Tracking: Oversee the parking tracking sheet, manage employee FOB and key tracking databases, and maintain digital facilities files.
-Onboarding Logistics: Coordinate physical desk setups for new hires with the HR team and assist with employee equipment pickups, recycling drop-offs, or office moves.
Qualifications
-Experience: 2+ years of relatable experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in specialty coffee shops, cafés, or the food service/hospitality industry.
-Coffee & Catering Aptitude: Previous barista experience or a strong willingness and enthusiasm to learn advanced coffee-serving techniques and corporate catering coordination.
-Technical Skills: Comfortable using basic workplace technology, including Slack, standard email, Microsoft Outlook, and Google Docs.
-Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse, fast-paced workforce.
-Inclusive Mindset: Patient, collaborative, and adaptable, with a natural ability to use inclusive language and foster a supportive team environment.
-Organization & Detail: Exceptional time-management skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to prioritize competing administrative tasks under pressure.
