We’re seeking a dedicated and technically-driven OpenShift SRE to join a Kubernetes operations team. In this highly focused individual contributor role, you’ll work hands-on with Red Hat OpenShift—the enterprise platform for Kubernetes—helping design, automate, and operate production-grade clusters that fuel business innovation.
Working closely with the Platforms Team Lead, you’ll be a problem-solver and automation advocate, ensuring our OpenShift clusters are scalable, feature-rich, resilient, and secure. You’ll contribute to the design and development of automation software for provisioning, upgrades, monitoring, and self-healing environments—and take the lead on incident management, root cause analysis, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation software to provision, upgrade, monitor, and heal OpenShift clusters.
Provide ongoing production and non-production support for our OpenShift environments.
Execute projects to expand, modernize, and secure container platforms.
Drive incident management and root cause analysis, championing continuous improvement.
Deliver high-quality technical artifacts and engineering solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (diploma and equivalent experience considered).
10+ years of IT experience, with at least 3+ years building, deploying, and supporting OpenShift environments.
4+ years of hands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools.
Deep expertise in:
OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Red Hat Virtualization
DevOps practices, automation, and CI/CD pipelines
Linux containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, shell scripting, Git)
Red Hat Linux administration
Experience delivering hosted private/hybrid cloud services.
Familiarity with Pure Storage and Crunchy Data technology.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues—quickly and accurately.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an Agile team.
A “modernization mindset”—flexible, ambitious, and passionate about emerging tech.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and test-driven development.
