We’re looking for an OpenShift Engineer / Administrator to design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters. This is not a DevOps or app deployment role—it’s a true engineering position focused on architecture, infrastructure, and security hardening.
...
You’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle: from architectural design and requirements gathering to cluster configuration, troubleshooting, and long-term operational excellence.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll work independently, tackle infrastructure challenges head-on, and ensure the stability of mission-critical environments.
Are you passionate about building and securing enterprise-scale OpenShift clusters from the ground up? Do you thrive in an environment where your engineering expertise directly impacts business-critical systems? If so, this role could be your next big career move.
Advantages
This organization has been trusted by Canada’s largest institutions to deliver secure, innovative solutions that drive digital transformation. They align industry leaders to solve complex challenges, while fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued, supported, and connected.
Here, you’ll do work that matters—with the tools, autonomy, and backing you need to succeed.
Responsibilities
Design & Build: Provision new OpenShift clusters, define architecture, and implement secure configurations.
Engineer for Resilience: Harden security, optimize networking/storage, and troubleshoot production issues.
Collaborate & Lead: Partner with the Team Lead, Platforms, to plan, deliver, and scale infrastructure initiatives.
Automate & Improve: Contribute to automation, monitoring, and healing of OpenShift clusters.
Be Ready: Participate in a compensated 24/7 on-call rotation (primary/secondary), ensuring availability for rare but critical incidents.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes (AKS/ARO experience also valuable).
Proven experience with Linux administration, networking, storage, and cluster security hardening.
Solid background in infrastructure-level operations—not just application deployment.
Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues with precision.
Scripting (Python, Ansible, shell) a nice-to-have.
Independent, proactive, and ready to hit the ground running—this team has no bandwidth for extended training.
Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with GitOps workflows (Argo CD, GitLab, Ansible).
Knowledge of operators (Logging, ACS, Elasticsearch, Portworx, Crunchy).
Broader cloud/Kubernetes-based infrastructure experience.
Summary
Ready to take ownership of enterprise-scale OpenShift engineering and make a lasting impact? Apply today.
