Responsibilities
- Analyze operational data and evaluate workflows to pinpoint continuous improvement opportunities within the manufacturing plant.
- Lead cross-functional engineering initiatives from initial business case development through operational handoff.
- Conduct value stream mapping exercises to eliminate process waste and maximize shop floor efficiency.
- Develop updated operational procedures, root cause analyses, and corrective actions to elevate product quality standards.
- Assess, recommend, and implement innovative automation tools and emerging technologies across production lines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering combined with 3+ years of technical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Proven proficiency using CAD software alongside Microsoft Office suite tools.
- Practical working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and modern continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background working within a unionized workforce or providing engineering support on capital construction projects is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination capabilities.
