Responsibilities
- Drive daily shop floor production activities to ensure targets, quality standards, and schedule milestones are consistently met
- Oversee site safety initiatives by conducting risk assessments, enforcing PPE requirements, and managing Permit to Work systems
- Supervise and mentor a team of approximately 20 hourly trade workers within a unionized factory environment
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and planning departments to resolve operational bottlenecks efficiently
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage skill development, and promote clear, accountability-driven communication
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a heavy industrial, processing, or manufacturing environment
- Background supervising hourly shop floor personnel in a unionized operational setting
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and risk management systems
- Post-secondary education such as a technical diploma, engineering degree, or equivalent practical leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage trade teams, resolve daily operational challenges, and execute production plans effectively
