Position Title: Operations Officer II
Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Downtown) – Hybrid after training
Contract Duration: 5 Months (Potential for Extension/Conversion)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Rotational shifts (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm)
Pay Rate: $23.13/hour

Responsibilities
Transaction Management: Execute specialized transactions (renewals, discharges, and adjustments) accurately and within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Documentation & Validation: Review and validate loan and real estate documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance with risk standards.
Partner Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for internal partners and external lawyers, responding to inquiries and resolving documentation gaps in a timely manner.
Risk & Compliance: Maintain a deep understanding of industry regulations (including AML and Business Continuity) to identify and escalate non-standard or high-risk activities.
Process Improvement: Actively review internal workflows and provide recommendations to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
General Administration: Use MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internal banking systems to manage correspondence and maintain confidential records.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required; College Diploma in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 2–4 years of administrative experience, preferably within a corporate or financial environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills are highly valued) and the ability to quickly learn proprietary banking systems.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload.
Adaptability and a "go-getter" attitude in a fast-paced team environment.
