In this role, you will provide critical operational support by managing specialized transactions and processing activities. You will be the engine behind our back-office functions, ensuring that corporate action events are monitored, summarized, and executed with 100% accuracy. Pay Rate: $28 Hr.
Location: 100% onsite in Toronto for the first 3 months (potential for hybrid/4 days onsite thereafter).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Core Business Hours.
Contract Duration: 3 months (renewable).
Interview Process: One efficient, virtual round.

Responsibilities
Corporate Actions: Monitor upcoming corporate action events and translate complex data into client-friendly summary letters.
Transaction Processing: Execute general and specialized financial transactions with a focus on high accuracy.
Payment & Reconciliation: Monitor payments and collaborate with internal teams to reconcile and credit client accounts accurately.
Process Improvement: Contribute to analysis and reporting for special projects aimed at elevating our service quality and operating model.
Data Integrity: Maintain meticulous records through high-volume data entry and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
The Must-Haves:
Experience: 1–2+ years in Operations or a similar back-office financial role.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in the MS Office Suite, specifically strong Excel skills (v-lookups, data manipulation).
Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial markets, equity, and payment processing.
Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, a team-player mentality, and the ability to work independently after the training period.
Education: Completed College or University Degree.
The Nice-to-Haves:
Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Prior experience specifically within the securities industry.
