This position is 100% back-office (no telephone work) and requires 5 days onsite at the Mississauga office during the training period, transitioning to a 4-day onsite hybrid model thereafter.

Responsibilities
As an Operations Officer, your day-to-day focus will be on the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions. Key responsibilities include:
Transaction Processing: Execute a high volume of payments, wire transfers, and various debit/credit transactions with precision.
Reconciliations: Perform daily reconciliations to ensure all records align with internal and external standards.
Operational Support: Provide subject matter expertise for internal partners to ensure business objectives and Service Level Goals (SLAs) are met.
Risk Management: Identify and escalate potential risks, ensuring all activities comply with bank codes of conduct and audit guidelines.
Process Improvement: Actively participate in daily touch-points and suggest ways to enhance workflow efficiency and technology adoption.
Customer Experience: While this is a 100% back-office role, you will ensure a positive "end-customer" experience by resolving internal partner inquiries and meeting processing deadlines.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or Post-Secondary Certification. A degree or certification in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience within a banking or financial institution.
Technical Skills: * Proven experience in debit/credit transaction processing and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Knowledge of Money Market (MM) and Foreign Exchange (FX) products (Spots, Forwards, Options) is a significant asset.
Soft Skills: * Professional attitude with strong written and verbal communication.
A "quick learner" mentality with the ability to adapt to changing policies.
Exceptional time management and the ability to thrive under strict deadlines.
