As an Operations Officer I, you will work within a specialized production facility to ensure that our merchant hardware is fully functional and ready for deployment. Your daily tasks will range from technical diagnostics and software loading to physical inventory management. Responsibilities
Technical Testing & Device Management
POS Diagnostics: Perform diagnostic tests on POS machines to understand and record failures; perform basic assembly and repair functions as needed.
Software Loading: Efficiently clear and load specific software to devices in preparation for merchant use.
Quality Assurance: Meet or exceed daily production targets while ensuring all devices meet manufacturers' specifications and internal quality standards.
Cleaning & Maintenance: Clean and maintain testing equipment to ensure long-term functionality.
Logistics & Inventory Control
Inventory Flow: Follow established inventory management process flows and best practices, specifically maintaining a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) methodology.
Just-In-Time (JIT) Support: Proactively monitor supply usage to maintain JIT inventory levels and ensure no disruptions in the production line.
Audit Support: Participate in annual inventory audits and maintain accurate records of device movements.
Shipping Prep: Assist in the final packaging of hardware to ensure safe and professional delivery to clients.
Process & Team Collaboration
Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to management on technical trends or recurring failures and offer recommendations for process improvements.
Team Participation: Contribute to a cohesive, inclusive, and positive work environment within a team of seven.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Experience: 1–2 years of overall professional experience, preferably in a warehouse, production, or technical support setting.
Technical Aptitude: Must be "tech-savvy" with a high comfort level in handling and troubleshooting electronic hardware.
Software Skills: Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Adaptability: A quick learner who can master new software loading procedures and diagnostic tools during a 2-week training period.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to provide feedback on technical trends.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience handling Point of Sale (POS) devices or similar fintech hardware.
Basic knowledge of Merchant Solutions or payment processing environments.
