Position Title: Operations Officer II
Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid: 4 days onsite, Fridays remote. Note: Fully onsite for the first 90 days of training.)
Position Type: 9-Month Contract (Possibility of extension or permanent conversion based on performance and business needs)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required)
Compensation: $24.22 / hour

Responsibilities
Receive, review, and process operational and financial requests submitted through Salesforce from internal partners.
Manage Registered Retirement Plans (RRSPs) in strict accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable financial regulations, policies, and tax deduction requirements.
Accurately process withdrawals, transfers, and account updates related to retirement funds.
Meet daily productivity and quality standards based on strict operational SLAs.
Participate in brief daily team huddles (approx. 20 minutes) to align on targets and updates.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience working within a banking or financial institution.
Compliance Knowledge: Solid professional background or familiarity with financial compliance activities.
Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Education: University degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Soft Skills:
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling complex financial and data-entry tasks.
Prioritization: Ability to efficiently manage a high volume of requests and meet tight deadlines.
Tech-Savvy: Quick to learn new software, systems, and internal platforms.
Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills within an internal, team-focused environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Assets):
Prior experience working with Salesforce.
Familiarity with RRSP funds, CRA processes, and processing financial withdrawals.
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification.
