Work Structure: High-density onsite requirement. The first 90 days are 5 days per week onsite. Following the initial 90 days, the schedule shifts to 4 days per week onsite.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, core business hours (37.5 hours per week).
As an Operations Officer III within Securities Lending, you will operate in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Your primary focus is to ensure the timely and accurate clearing of transactions through systems such as CDS and DTC. The role is approximately 80-90% back-office operations, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to investigating financial discrepancies and interacting with internal stakeholders, including Lending Traders and Margin groups.

Responsibilities
Settlement & Operational Execution
Trade Settlement: Responsible for the end-of-day settlement of all loans, borrows, repays, and collateral tickets within CDS and DTC environments.
Monitoring & Reporting: Actively monitor settlement discrepancies and report them on a timely basis to Institutional Lending Traders and Margin groups to ensure prompt resolution.
Issue Resolution: Investigate, resolve, and escalate complex operational issues to Management and Traders as required.
Ancillary Functions: Manage various operational tasks including Mark to Market, Contract Compare, Fees and Rebates, and Reconciliations.
Trader Support: Provide real-time position checks and movement updates to support trading activity and inquiries.
Compliance & Quality Control
Audit & Documentation: Accurately maintain and file all documentation pertaining to daily settlements to meet internal and external audit requirements.
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all transactions comply with industry codes of conduct, AML policies, and organizational operating procedures.
Risk Management: Ensure all FX and wire requests are authorized within assigned limits and follow strict due diligence protocols.
Team Participation: Participate in daily huddles, weekly Late Collateral rotation shifts, and departmental process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience within the Banking or Financial Institution industry.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Financial Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Reconciliation (identifying and resolving financial discrepancies).
Education: A University Degree is mandatory.
Professionalism: Proven ability to work under pressure, manage strict deadlines, and handle high volumes of work accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of CSC (Canadian Securities Course) or progress toward CFA/CGA certifications.
Direct experience in the Settlement and Trading industry.
Familiarity with CDS and DTC platforms.
