As an Operations Officer III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of high-volume financial transactions. This position is a one-year contract starting April 6, 2026, with a very strong possibility for extension or permanent conversion based on your performance and impact.
Work Model: This is a Hybrid role based at 77 Bloor Street West, Toronto. To ensure you are fully integrated into the team and culture, the first 90 days will be onsite 5 days/week. Following this training period, you will enjoy one work-from-home day per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday serving as designated anchor days in the office.

Responsibilities
As the Operations Officer III, your daily contributions will keep the wheels of finance turning:
-Settlement Excellence: Settle all loans, borrows, repays, and collateral tickets in CDS and DTC by end-of-day deadlines.
-Discrepancy Management: Monitor and report settlement discrepancies to Lending Traders and Margin groups, ensuring swift resolution.
-Operational Support: Provide real-time position checks and movement support for Traders; manage FX and wire requests within authorized limits.
-Audit & Compliance: Maintain meticulous documentation for daily settlements in accordance with wealth record retention policies.
-Financial Functions: Execute Mark to Market, Contract Compare, Fees and Rebates, and Recall functions with high precision.
-Collaborative Participation: Engage in daily huddles, weekly late collateral rotations, and contribute to a positive, non-discriminatory workplace environment.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
-Education: Minimum of a University Degree.
-Experience: 5+ years of experience within the banking or financial services industry.
-Technical Savvy: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data processing and input) and prior experience in financial Reconciliation.
-Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of Capital Markets and trading environments.
-Soft Skills: Exceptional communication (written/verbal), a "team-player" mentality, and an unwavering eye for detail.
Nice to Haves:
-Certifications: Completion of CSC, CFA, FRM, or CGA (Accounting) designations.
-Technical Skills: Coding knowledge or experience with settlement and trading platforms.
-Reliability: A consistent career history (candidates with excessive short-term "job-hopping" will not be considered).
