Responsibilities
Territory Management: Developing and maintaining direct contact with existing and new customers within the Lloydminster/Bonnyville/Lac La Biche corridor.
Business Development: Identifying new accounts and qualifying customers based on volume and service requirements.
Technical Consulting: Providing expert advice on carbon steel pipe, fittings, and valve solutions for fabrication shops and major industrial end-users.
Market Intelligence: Gathering data on upcoming projects, competitor activity, and market trends to share with the regional team.
Customer Retention: Building lasting relationships through site visits, office meetings, and customer entertainment (lunches, golf tournaments, sporting events).
Collaboration: Working closely with Inside Sales, the Regional Sales Manager, and Branch Managers to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
Qualifications
While we value a "winning mentality," industry-specific knowledge is a firm requirement for this specific territory.
Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the distribution of carbon steel products (pipe, valves, fittings). Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, or Pulp & Paper is essential.
Sales Acumen: 2–3 years of sales experience with a solid grasp of opportunity qualification, account development, and territory management.
Location: Residing in (or willing to relocate to) Lloydminster or Bonnyville. We are open to candidates from other regions (such as Edmonton) who are ready to relocate and possess the required industry background.
Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and shared digital folders.
Physical & Logistics: Ability to drive several hours per day, a valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
