Contract Details and Schedule
This is a part-time, on-call contract position for 12 months, with the potential for extension. You will work on-site at the Victoria office, typically seven hours per day. While most shifts will be from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time, your hours may fluctuate between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time.
This role operates on an on-call basis, meaning your work schedule is not fixed and will be determined by specific dates agreed upon with the business team. We require your availability on the following confirmed dates:
• September 5, 2025
• September 17, 2025
• September 29, 2025
• October 1-3, 2025
• October 6-7, 2025
You will also participate in paid training sessions in August 2025, which will be scheduled twice a week, ideally on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. These specific training days will be confirmed to the successful candidate. Any work dates beyond October 7, 2025, will be determined based on workload and staff vacation schedules, and will always be agreed upon by both parties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock in supply rooms and process orders as needed
• Support the Workplace Services team in administrative tasks, ensuring efficient operations
• Ensure adherence to BCI policies, directives, and governance while fostering a positive workplace culture
Qualifications
• Minimum two years of administrative office experience
• Strong service-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other office software
• Experience with courier management (domestic and international)
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs
• Completion of a related diploma program (Business Administration, Office Administration, Hospitality, etc.)
• Experience with or a passion for catering and food service
