We are recruiting Patient Support Specialists or Caseworkers (temporary opportunities with potential for permanent employment) for a leading, national pharmacy organization based in the Greater Toronto Area. The Caseworkers work as part of a team supporting patients with the completion of paperwork to ensure they can get access to the medications they require. Caseworkers may also support other duties like patient program enrollment or other related duties. In this role, you will have to work to resolve problems quickly, engage in conversation with patients with a can-do attitude and with empathy, and always ensure that patients come first. You will complete administrative duties with efficiency and accuracy and will manage various priorities in an organized manner. This role is a perfect fit for someone with excellent communication skills who loves to work as part of a team and is computer-savvy.

Responsibilities

- Work as part of a team to triage inquiries and requests from a shared email inbox and use chat to communicate
- Explain prescription coverage to patients and answer questions (templates Q&A provided as well as thorough training)
- Act as an important point of contact and liaison between patients and internal/external stakeholders and a representative of this world-class organization
Qualifications
What YOU bring to the role of Patient Care Specialist / Caseworker:
- 1-3 years of experience in administration and customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Top-notch organization and prioritization skills - you're used to keeping lots of balls in the air!
- Tech-savvy, able to learn new software quickly
- Proactive, takes initiative to help others
- Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with conflicting priorities
- Attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
- Friendly, adaptable and committed to patient care
