Responsibilities
In this Payroll Administrator role in Mississauga, you will have the following responsibilities:
•Processing a bi-weekly payroll in-house using native software for approximately 400 employees across Canada
•Setup new employees in payroll system and maintain their information (salary adjustments, vacation accrual changes, tax changes, deposit updates etc.)
•Prepare and process the pay for direct deposits and pay advances
•Balancing Time and Attendance to Payroll
•Perform daily and bi-weekly payroll administration
•Process and remit payments to 3rd party vendors/organizations (social club, WCB, unions, garnishments, payroll source deductions)
•Monthly journal entries
•Ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
As an ideal candidate for this Payroll Administrator role in Mississauga, you will demonstrate the following:
- A minimum of 2 years’ payroll processing experience .
- Experience processing payroll in a unionized workforce
- Post-secondary education, preferably in HR/Payroll
- Must have excellent initiative, be a self-starter with a keen attention to details.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
