Randstad's client, a growing Advisory Firm serving a portfolio of Canadian clients, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join its Finance and Accounting team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who requires minimal ramp-up support and can manage multiple complex client payrolls independently. Responsibilities
•Manage and process full-cycle, end-to-end payroll for a subset of the firm's clients, who currently require payroll support.
•Handle payroll for a mix of employee types, including hourly, salaried, temporary contractors, and commission-based employees.
•Process payroll with varying frequencies, including bi-weekly runs.
•Ensure compliance for multi-provincial payroll, including complexities related to Quebec and Ontario.
•Manage Benefit Administration for clients.
•Prepare and post payroll journal entries in various client accounting systems.
•Process expense reports for clients, often using different platforms.
•Be responsible for the implementation and setup of new payroll systems for clients, particularly following corporate acquisitions or process revamps.
•Manage personnel records and other client data within various CRMs/systems.
Qualifications
•Strong Canadian Payroll Experience.
•Must be comfortable and capable of working with multiple payroll and HRIS/ERP systems. Proficiency or experience with ADP is required. Additional nice to have systems include Bullhorn, Xero, Payworks, Ceridian/Dayforce, and QuickBooks.
•Strong communication skills
•Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification is preferred.
