Responsibilities
• Support payroll data input and validation for Canada and the USA using ADP and Gusto.
• Prepare and validate payroll inputs for the human resources team, including new hires, compensation changes, leaves, and bonuses.
• Ensure all payroll inputs are accurate, complete, and delivered on time for Finance processing each cycle.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professional discretion and empathy.
• Maintain meticulous payroll records and documentation to support internal compliance and external audits.
• Administer approved compensation changes related to salary reviews, promotions, and market adjustments.
• Support annual compensation cycles by preparing materials and tracking approvals across human resources and Finance.
• Manage benefits and perks programs, including GroupSource, MyHSA, Medcan, and Gusto Benefits (Cigna, Principal).
• Coordinate employee enrollments, terminations, and premium deduction forecasts.
• Deliver benefits onboarding and education sessions for employees across North America.
• Administer leave-related processes, including parental, sick, and statutory leaves, ensuring accurate reflection in payroll.
• Coordinate workplace accommodations and disability applications (including USA maternity leave through Principal).
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Payroll & Benefits Administrator
• Proven experience managing both US and Canadian payroll (Cross-border experience is mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with ADP, Gusto, or equivalent cloud-based payroll platforms.
• Solid understanding of benefits administration (Health, Dental, 401K/RRSP, and HSA).
• Experience managing leaves of absence and statutory disability applications.
• High level of proficiency in MS Excel for data reconciliation and forecasting.
