Responsibilities
• Execute full-cycle bi-weekly and monthly payroll for employees across Canada and the US using ADP Workforce Now.
• Manage the administration of comprehensive benefits programs, including health, dental, life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
• Ensure strict compliance with all Canadian and US payroll legislation, tax requirements, and labor standards.
• Reconcile payroll-related G/L accounts and prepare detailed financial reports for the business administration and management teams.
• Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, and taxable benefits with high accuracy.
• Lead the year-end process, including the preparation and filing of T4s, T4As, and US W-2s.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and leave management.
• Collaborate with external vendors and insurance brokers to ensure competitive and efficient benefit offerings.
• Conduct regular internal audits of payroll data to maintain data integrity and security.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline business administration processes and enhance payroll workflows.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist
• Hands-on experience with both Canadian and US payroll processing is mandatory.
• Proven expertise using ADP Workforce Now for full-cycle payroll.
• Completion of (or working towards) a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Experience in the professional services industry is considered a strong asset.
