Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the Payroll Clerk are;
•Prepare, process & distribute weekly payroll in ADP WORKFORCE for both hourly and salary employees (calculate & verify hours from timecards and/or time & attendance system, ensure approvals are provided, preparation & submission of ROEs)
•Process and monitor payroll deductions (garnishees, work boots, CSB's, RPP's etc.)
•Preparation of all government remittances, RPP & CSB's including weekly reporting
•Reconcile payroll accounts monthly
•Maintain employee personal information as it relates to payroll
•Maintain and update payroll system as necessary ( tax updates, pay info, Etc.)
•Review & code all A/P invoices, forward to appropriate managers for approval
•Verify HST on invoices, ensure consistent with applicable federal/provincial regulations
•Enter & post all A/P invoices in the electronic accounting system, and manually file accordingly
•Review supplier statements (monthly) ensure all invoices are received and posted
•Prepare the month-end A/P accruals for the accounting supervisor
Qualifications
•2-4 Years of related strong payroll and accounts payable experience
•Experience with electronic payroll ADP and accounting software (accpacc & easy pay)
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word)
•Excellent knowledge of current payroll legislation
•Maintain confidentiality and only disclose information to necessary individuals in the company or outside 3rd parties
•Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
