• Calculate and remit government remittances, such as payroll taxes and other statutory deductions.
• Prepare and verify statements of earnings, T4s, and other payroll-related documentation.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and deductions with professionalism and discretion.
• Ensure strict compliance with all federal and provincial payroll laws and regulations.
• Generate and analyze payroll-related reports for management and accounting purposes.
• Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure accurate employee data.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with the Workday payroll system or any other software is a must.
• A strong understanding of Canadian payroll laws and regulations.
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is considered a strong asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary certificate or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references.
