Are you a payroll expert in compliance seeking a strategic role within a dynamic large corporation? A well-established company in Montreal, with approximately 2,000 employees across North America, is looking for a Payroll Manager to handle the full payroll cycle while also serving as a strategic advisor to management on provincial compliance and legislation.

Responsibilities
As the Payroll Manager, you will manage the payroll cycle and be the key point of contact for compliance matters:
Lead and supervise the payroll team to ensure the full payroll cycle for approximately 2,000 employees across Canada and the United States.
Act as an expert consultant to HR business partners and operations managers on multi-province and multi-jurisdictional payroll compliance.
Update employee files, including salary, benefits, and deduction adjustments, ensuring compliance with provincial legislation.
Generate reports and prepare accounting entries for the General Ledger.
Coordinate alimony and wage garnishment remittances, while adhering to legal requirements.
Oversee year-end processes, including the reconciliation of taxable benefits and the issuance of T4 and RL1 forms.
Conduct strategic monitoring of legislative and regulatory changes that could impact payroll operations.
Qualifications
Confirmed and in-depth experience in Canadian payroll management, with proven expertise in provincial compliance.
Excellent knowledge of legislation and collective agreements, including the fiscal subtleties of different provinces and jurisdictions.
Experience in a consulting or support role for management teams.
Proficiency with UKG software.
Strong leadership and analytical skills.
Bilingualism in French/English (written and spoken) is required.
