Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
1. Payroll Processing and Accounting
Prepare and execute payroll cycles with accuracy.
Ensure and guarantee timely salary payments.
Record, analyze, and reconcile payroll-related journal entries with the general ledger.
2. Compliance and Year-End Activities
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll regulations.
Monitor regulatory changes and adjust internal procedures accordingly.
Prepare, produce, and submit year-end reports and summaries (e.g., Revenu Québec).
3. Collaboration with HR and Finance
Update, validate, and maintain accurate employee records.
Collaborate with the Finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and analyze variances.
4. Employee Support and Audits
Respond to, inform, and assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
Compile, provide, and present required documentation for internal and external audits.
Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
5. Process Optimization
Identify, propose, and implement operational improvements.
Streamline and enhance the efficiency and reliability of payroll processes.
