The HR Analyst II provides day-to-day operational support focused on payroll tax compliance and global mobility. You will manage complex payroll cycles, assist with internal and external audits, and resolve high-level inquiries through ServiceNow. This position requires a professional who can navigate the regulatory requirements of the CRA, Revenue Québec, and the IRS while maintaining a "Gold Standard" service for executive-level internal clients.

Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Year-End Processing
Government Filings: Balance all year-end tax slips and complete federal and provincial government filings accurately and on time.
Audit Support: Participate in internal and external payroll audits, providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
Data Integrity: Run and action PIER/Variance reports to correct data errors and validate the accuracy of annual reports from the CRA and Revenu Québec.
Manual Adjustments: Prepare manual and amended tax slips and support payroll accounting to ensure year-end data is recorded accurately.
Expatriate & Executive Payroll
Global Mobility: Manage daily administrative functions for expatriate shadow payrolls and support globally mobile employees.
Executive Support: Provide customized payroll and year-end tax slip support for the CEO and Senior Executive Team.
Board of Directors: Manage the end-to-end payroll process for the Board of Directors, including processing quarterly Director Fees.
System & Process Management
Workday Administration: Ensure the integrity of Workday HR/Payroll data, handling manual off-cycle processing, and managing EIB data loads.
ServiceNow: Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll and tax through ServiceNow cases.
Efficiency: Recommend and implement process changes to gain accuracy and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Expat Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing expatriate or shadow payrolls.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Canadian Federal/Provincial and U.S. regulatory requirements (CRA, Revenue Québec, and IRS).
System Proficiency: Working knowledge of Workday (specifically reporting and year-end processes).
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills for report reconciliation and data analysis.
Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with a focus on report reconciliation principles and high attention to detail.
Overall Experience: 3-4 years of relevant experience in a large corporate environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Designation: Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or currently working towards completion.
Industry Experience: Previous experience within a major Bank or Financial Institution.
Education: Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.
