This is a 1-2 month contract designed to support their bi-weekly payroll window. While this is a temporary coverage role, there is a potential for permanency for a high-performing candidate who is local to the Lower Mainland and looking for FT employment.
This role follows a specific bi-weekly rhythm to align with critical processing deadlines:
Week 1: Thursday and Friday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PST)
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PST)
Totaling 40 hours every two weeks.

Responsibilities
High-Volume Processing: Support Canadian payroll for 900+ employees (Hourly & Salaried).
Complex Logistics: Manage timecard validation for a manufacturing environment with 20+ different shift rotations.
Technical Support: Handle manual adjustments, retro-pay, and post-processing payroll journal entries.
Collaboration: Partner with Finance and Talent teams to ensure accurate processing of terminations and salary changes.
Qualifications
5+ years of payroll processing experience in Canadian provinces, US processing is an asset.
System Expertise: Minimum 2+ year of hands-on experience with Ceridian Dayforce. You must be able to hit the ground running with zero system training.
Excel Skills: Proficiency with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables is required for data validation.
Industry Background: Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Production environment is highly preferred due to the complexity of hourly shift rotations.
