Responsibilities
Phamacist - Full-Time, 12 month Direct-Hire Contract - Mississauga - Healthcare

Direct and coordinate the daily supervision of pharmacy staff to ensure operational excellence.

Review prescriptions for clinical accuracy and consult with other healthcare disciplines as needed.

Perform intricate calculations for specialized medication formulations.

Ensure all pharmacy practices remain compliant with current provincial and federal legislation.

Provide expert patient counseling and maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical care.

Utilize pharmacy computer systems to maximize productivity and streamline the dispensing process.

Research and apply drug therapy data regarding medication compatibility and interactions.

Monitor and adhere to all corporate patient safety policies and quality improvement programs.



Qualifications

Must-Haves:

University undergraduate degree in Pharmacy.

Current and valid licensure to practice pharmacy in Ontario.

Willingness to work a rotational shift schedule that includes weekends and on-call duties.

Superior communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-Haves:

Strong mentorship skills with a desire to help team members succeed.

Previous experience in a high volume or high pressure pharmacy environment.
