Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistant – Temporary Assignment - Full-Time hours - Winnipeg – Healthcare
Support the Pharmacist and Registered Pharmacy Technician in the accurate preparation and filling of prescriptions.
Utilize Kroll Pharmacy software to enter, scan, and process patient prescriptions efficiently.
Facilitate the prescription pickup process, ensuring every customer receives the correct medication and high-quality service.
Manage high-volume call traffic, screening inquiries for the Pharmacist and responding to internal and external customer needs.
Maintain organized pharmacy records, files, and computer drives to ensure data integrity.
Handle inventory tasks including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications.
Prepare and process necessary documentation for billings, claims, and disbursements.
Package and ship outgoing prescription orders while strictly following established safety protocols.
Assist with general administrative duties and housekeeping to keep the pharmacy running smoothly.
Participate in on-call or standby duties if required by the workflow.
Qualifications
Pharmacy Assistant – Temporary Assignment - Full-Time hours - Winnipeg – Healthcare
Able to start immediately (no option for providing a notice period and we do not recommend leaving a permanent job for a short-term temporary assignment)
At least 1 year of experience working in a pharmacy environment in a role that involved prescription intake and data entry (including insurance support).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proven ability to handle a high volume of prescriptions with accuracy.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required by daily tasks.
Availability to work Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.
Role is conditional on clear background check, so must be comfortable proceeding with the same (Randstad facilitates at our cost)
Must be legally eligible to work full-time hours in Canada and be available for the duration of the assignment
