Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Retrieve correct items from storage bins using RF scanners, pick sheets, and work orders.
- Quality & Inspection: Verify product codes, quantities, and condition before packing to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Packaging & Staging: Securely wrap items, build cartons, apply shipping labels/barcodes, and prep orders for dispatch.
- Material Handling: Move stock safely using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and utility carts.
- Stock & Inventory Control: Assist with receiving, cycle counts, bin replenishments, and sorting incoming stock.
- Facility Safety: Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free following 5S standards and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in warehouse work, order picking, general labour, or packing is an asset (training provided).
- Physical Capabilities: Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Technical & Basic Skills: Ability to read alphanumeric codes, use RF scanners, and perform basic counting math.
- Language: Functional English (written and verbal) to read pick sheets, shipping labels, and safety signage. (Bilingual candidates are welcome!)
- Safety Gear: Must have standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including CSA-approved steel-toed boots.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, with reliable transportation to Brantford, ON.
