We’re looking for a motivated, safety-focused apprentice to join our specialized fabrication team in Nisku. In this position, you’ll work on constructing intricate jacketed piping systems and other complex industrial assemblies. Responsibilities
Jacketed Piping Assembly & Blueprint Precision:
Lead the accurate construction of complex, multi-layer jacketed piping systems, ensuring all configurations strictly follow P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
High-Precision Fabrication & Custom Components:
Carry out detailed fabrication tasks including cutting, threading, and modifying components, consistently delivering high-quality workmanship in line with exacting standards.
Connection Reliability & Pressure Testing:
Act as the subject matter expert for final flange alignment, hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests, ensuring every connection meets stringent safety and performance requirements.
Module & Skid Assembly:
Assist with the integration of modular systems and skids, verifying proper installation of valves, pipe supports, and structural elements to maintain full alignment and mechanical integrity.
Qualifications
This opportunity is specifically for a 3rd-Year Pipefitter Apprentice with proven technical expertise — it is not a training position for foundational skill development. Please apply only if you confidently meet the requirements below:
Certification: Must hold a valid 3rd-Year Registered Apprentice Pipefitter ticket.
High-Pressure System Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience assembling complex flange connections in high-pressure industrial environments.
Testing Competence: Ability to perform, document, and interpret hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests in full compliance with safety and quality standards.
Component Knowledge: Strong familiarity with key system components, including proper identification, placement, and sealing of Victaulic gaskets.
Dimensional Precision: Skilled in selecting the correct stud and gasket sizes for a variety of flange types efficiently and accurately.
Torque Expertise: Proven ability to apply precise torque values according to technical specifications, ensuring first-pass, leak-free assemblies.
Quality Focus: Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship, delivering consistent work and minimizing rework.
Professionalism & Teamwork: Dependable, safety-conscious, and collaborative, thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented fabrication environment.
Additional Requirements: Candidates must provide their own basic hand tools and have reliable transportation to the Nisku facility.
