Responsibilities
This role is centered on delivering tight-tolerance, leak-free mechanical assemblies and advanced fabrication processes.
Specialized Jacketed Piping: Accurately fabricate and install complex jacketed piping, interpreting P&IDs and GA drawings to ensure every joint and connection meets rigorous engineering specifications.
High-Pressure System Verification: Leverage your expertise in proper bolt-up and hydrostatic pressure testing to guarantee system reliability and adherence to all stringent safety and leak-prevention guidelines.
Advanced Fit-Up: Perform technical tasks including threading, controlled torque application, and fine component alignment, building spool sections with exceptional precision and high craftsmanship standards.
Modular Integration: Play a key role in modular unit and skid construction by integrating supports, valves, and instrumentation for seamless mechanical system functionality.
Qualifications
Required Certification: Must be an officially enrolled 3rd-Year Apprentice Pipefitter.
High-Precision Experience: Demonstrated, hands-on strength in:
Flange Alignment & Bolt-Up: Executing precise flange connections on high-pressure piping, maintaining strict tolerances.
Pressure Testing Proficiency: Preparing, executing, and accurately documenting both hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
Accurate Torque Application: Capability to apply controlled torque to exact values for secure, leak-free mechanical joints.
Victaulic Systems: Working knowledge of Victaulic piping, including proper gasket selection and installation.
Core Fabrication Skills: Proven ability to interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and select correct studs, bolts, and gaskets based on pressure classes and specifications.
Professional Commitment: Reliable, detail-oriented, and strictly committed to safe work practices in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Note: Candidates must supply their own essential hand tools and have dependable transportation to the Nisku worksite.
