The facility operates as a specialized 2000 sq. ft. shop where quality and efficiency are the top priorities. Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive training to assigned associates on the safe operation of powder coating machinery, spray guns, and tools.

• Maintain a strict daily reject rate of 1-2% or less, ensuring customer quality standards are never compromised.
• Plan and organize daily work instructions, assigning tasks to a team of 1 to 6 associates depending on business volume.
• Perform "Line Process Audit" (LPA) type procedures to ensure all quality standards are consistently met before product leaves the facility.
• Manage shipping and logistics, including the creation of Bills of Lading (BOLs) and coordinating incoming/outgoing shipments with the dedicated carrier.
• Conduct inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and order necessary PPE, paint, and raw materials to prevent production stoppages.
• Act as the primary troubleshooter for all process issues, communicating effectively with the ownership team regarding equipment or personnel needs.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing WHMIS and OH&S standards, including daily housekeeping and equipment shut-down at the end of every shift.
• Fill in for associates within the work cell when necessary to maintain steady production flow and ensure waste bins are emptied.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Powder Coating Team Lead role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience specifically in a powder coating production environment.
• Prior experience in a Lead Hand role within a manufacturing & logistics or industrial setting.
• Physically demanding; requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work within a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Forklift experience is considered a strong asset for loading/unloading skids and managing the yard.
• A reliable and dependable work history with a stellar attendance record and a commitment to punctuality.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
