TITLE : Electrical Transformer Designer (The Artist Behind the Power!)
REQUIREMENTS : A degree in Electrical Engineering or a proven passion AND experience with transformer design.
LOCATION : Granby, QC (Where the magic happens, in person!)
TYPE : Full-time, Permanent.
SALARY : $105,000+, based on experience.
...
Advantages
What's in it for You
(Because a unicorn deserves the royal treatment):
Enjoy (almost) 3-day weekends: Our schedule is simple: we finish at noon on Fridays. ALL. YEAR. ROUND. Your Friday afternoons are sacred.
Time to truly unplug: Start with 3 weeks of vacation, and completely forget about work for 2 full weeks at Christmas. The plant shuts down. Period.
A no-ties, no-nonsense culture: Forget rigid hierarchies. Here, the VPs know you by name, the vibe is like family, there's plenty of friendly banter, and 50% of our team comes from all over the world. That's our strength.
Benefits that actually matter: Comprehensive group insurance (with telemedicine), an RRSP with employer contributions for your future, and above all, the chance to work on projects that will make you proud.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Forget routine and repetitive tasks. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to push the boundaries of physics and engineering. You will be our "unicorn," the missing link who turns bold challenges into reality.
Sculpting power: You won't be checking boxes. You'll start with a blank slate to bring unique, complex transformers to life—the kind others often deem "impossible."
Guarding profitability: Every calculation and material choice has an impact. You'll have the responsibility and autonomy to turn bold concepts into viable, profitable projects.
Driving our innovation: The status quo is our adversary. You'll be at the heart of R&D, constantly exploring new avenues to solve technical puzzles and invent tomorrow's solutions.
Playing as a team (and thinking out loud): Expect lively exchanges, passionate debates, and unfiltered collaboration with 3D designers, sales, and production. The best ideas are born from discussion here!
Qualifications
We're not looking for a perfect resume, but a curious personality and a brilliant mind. You're our ideal candidate if:
You know the playground: You've already tamed the beast and have hands-on experience in transformer design. This is our only non-negotiable requirement.
Your toolkit is fully loaded: You're fluent in the language of transformers (oil vs. dry is basic stuff), you read blueprints like a novel, and you see complex problems as stimulating Sudoku puzzles.
You have a passport for collaboration: English is the working language of our engineering 'lab.' If you speak French or Spanish, that's a fantastic bonus. English-only speakers are absolutely welcome.
You have unique DNA: You're a creative and autonomous person who thrives on the unknown. You're rigorous but not rigid, and you're not afraid to ask, "What if we tried something else?"
The title doesn't make the person: Whether you have an engineering degree or a specialized technical diploma, it's your transformer expertise that matters to us. Permanent residency status is not required.
Summary
So, are you ready to make your mark and build what others don't even dare to imagine? If you are the exceptional designer we're looking for, the time is now.
