We are looking for an autonomous and rigorous Pre-Construction Project Manager (Chargé·e de projet en pré-construction) for a renowned Quebec company that delivers high-quality and unique projects across North America. Based in Ville Saint-Laurent, this key position is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of diverse and complex large-scale projects.
As a Pre-Construction Project Manager in the Engineering and Design field, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the analysis and preparation of projects before they move into the construction phase. You will work closely with the estimating team and various stakeholders to "set the table" and ensure that every project starts on solid ground.

Responsibilities
The Pre-Construction Project Manager will have the following main responsibilities in Engineering and Design:
Supervise the pre-construction phase and develop the schedule, ensuring all aspects are evaluated and optimized for maximum efficiency.
Coordinate the pre-construction process: municipal planning, zoning, site plans, approvals, and various permits.
Analyze plans to identify potential issues and intervene upstream.
Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate profitability, potential risks, and identify opportunities for savings.
Propose concrete and economical solutions to facilitate project execution.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to align project goals and timelines.
Manage the hiring of consultants and coordinate necessary meetings.
Manage all governmental permits, approvals, and ensure compliance with consultants.
Conduct site inspections to evaluate existing conditions and prepare for upcoming work.
Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.
Ensure the transition of projects between the estimation and construction departments.
Communicate regularly with clients, general contractors, and consultants to ensure all parties are informed of project progress and requirements.
Organize and manage project documentation using Procore and prepare monthly reports.
Qualifications
The essential skills for success in this Engineering and Design role are:
Advanced English/French bilingualism (oral and written).
Solid knowledge of commercial construction processes and materials.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
Proficiency in construction management software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
The key requirements for this position in Engineering and Design are:
5 years of experience in estimation or industrial or commercial pre-construction.
Experience in the construction world (Major asset).
Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering (Asset).
Knowledge of Procore software (Asset).
Intermediate knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, and Acumatica (Assets).
Work schedule: Day shift from Monday to Friday.
