Responsibilities
As a Procurement and Logistics Manager, your role will be at the heart of the growth strategy. You will lead the flow of goods and supplier relationships. Your main responsibilities include:
• Overseeing and centralizing all purchasing activities for the Canadian, U.S., European, and Asian markets.
• Leading strategic negotiations with suppliers to ensure the best commercial terms.
• Optimizing international logistics, including the rigorous management of carriers.
• Mastering inventory management and implementing continuous improvement processes to increase efficiency.
• Ensuring strict cost control and deploying initiatives to reduce operational expenses.
• Mobilizing, coaching, and developing your team members to achieve standards of excellence.
• Direct management of a team of 3 people (1 purchasing lead and 2 warehouse clerks).
Qualifications
We are seeking a seasoned professional who combines technical rigor with human leadership. To succeed in this challenge in Terrebonne, you must possess:
• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in a similar role, strictly within a manufacturing environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in a field related to management, operations, or logistics. A specialization in Supply Chain is an asset.
• Impeccable mastery of English, both spoken and written, to deal with our American partners.
• High level of autonomy and a demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions without constant supervision.
• Expertise in team coaching to foster a climate of collaboration and high performance.
• In-depth knowledge of international logistics challenges and customs compliance (documentation).
