...
In this high-visibility leadership role, you will backfill a key product management position on the Core HCM team, driving the strategic vision, feature roadmap, and business process evolution for the global Workday platform. Acting as a senior "driver" rather than a hands-on system configurator, you will partner closely with global HR leadership, Product Owners, and offshore engineering teams to translate complex business needs into scalable HCM capabilities. You will lead roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and cross-platform requirement negotiations—including integrations with platforms like UKG Pro—while navigating complex HR operational nuances across international markets.
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Full 1-Year Engagement)
Advantages
Global Enterprise Leadership Scope: Lead product vision and roadmap planning across a multi-region Workday platform footprint spanning North America, Europe, and Asia.
12-Month Full-Year Engagement: Secure a full 1-year consulting assignment with long-term strategic project visibility and high executive influence.
Strategic "Driver" Focus: Positioned at the intersection of business strategy and platform delivery, focusing on holistic architecture, value realization, and HR process optimization rather than hands-on technical configuration.
High Cross-Functional Visibility: Collaborate directly with senior HR, Payroll, Operations, Security, Reporting, and Engineering leadership across global delivery hubs.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmapping: Define and maintain the strategic product vision, multi-year roadmap, and strategic themes for the Global Workday Core HCM and Talent Acquisition product portfolio.
Agile Product Leadership: Serve as the ultimate product authority for feature prioritization, backlog refinement, and acceptance of Program Increment (PI) objectives within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) environment.
Cross-Product Alignment: Negotiate and align cross-platform requirements and dependencies across Workday modules, third-party workforce tools (e.g., UKG Pro integrations), and downstream reporting architectures.
Global Team Alignment: Partner closely with co-located Product Owners and global delivery teams (including offshore engineering centers) to ensure features are refined, decomposed, and delivered on schedule.
Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong advisory relationships with HR, Payroll, Talent, and IT leadership, representing business interests during roadmap, scoping, and tradeoff discussions.
Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Assess product risks, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and navigate global regulatory requirements, including GDPR and regional employment laws across diverse international jurisdictions.
Qualifications
Product Leadership Depth: 5+ years of dedicated experience in enterprise product management, including backlog ownership, feature refinement, and value-based roadmap prioritization.
Workday & Core HCM Knowledge: Strong functional understanding of the Workday platform architecture, with a primary focus on Core HCM business processes and Talent Acquisition/Recruiting modules.
HR Domain & Process Expertise: Proven background in HR process design, enabling a holistic understanding of complex enterprise HR operational asks.
Global & Multi-Country Experience: Demonstrated experience working in large-scale, multi-site, and multi-country organizations, with the ability to navigate regional operational nuances (e.g., UK, Germany, India).
Agile & SAFe Delivery: Practical experience operating within Agile/SAFe frameworks, participating in PI planning, system demos, and cross-team dependency management.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with a track record of driving consensus among business leaders and technical teams.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Experience leading product planning activities across distributed global technology hubs.
Broad familiarity with complementary enterprise HR and workforce management platforms (e.g., UKG Pro).
