Production Operator - Heavy

In this vital Production Operator role within the manufacturing & logistics industry, you will be stationed at the very end of the production line—a critical stage where finished goods are inspected, offboarded, packaged, and readied for distribution. Operating within a heavy manufacturing environment, your daily contributions will directly impact final product quality, packaging integrity, and shipping efficiency. Your responsibilities at the end of the line will include offbearing heavy finished products from conveyor belts, stacking and palletizing goods, operating banding and wrapping equipment, and conducting final visual quality control checks before items move into the warehouse. •Demonstrated physical stamina and strength, with the proven ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting (50+ lbs) at the end of a fast-paced production line.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and spatial awareness, enabling quick understanding of packaging equipment, palletizing layouts, and conveyor controls.
•Keen eye for detail to conduct thorough final quality control inspections and catch surface flaws, labeling errors, or packaging defects.
•Excellent time management and pacing skills to keep up with the continuous flow of the production line without causing delays or backups.
•Solid understanding of industrial workplace safety protocols, including proper lifting ergonomics, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and WHMIS guidelines.
•Effective verbal communication skills to relay vital operational, packaging, and safety information to team leaders and forklift operators clearly.

Responsibilities
•Work at the very end of the production line to offbear, inspect, package, and stage heavy finished goods for logistics transport and warehouse storage.
•Consistently lift, carry, stack, and palletize heavy manufactured items weighing over 50 lbs throughout the duration of your 8 to 12-hour shift.
•Operate end-of-line packaging machinery, including automated stretch wrappers, strapping tools, box sealers, and labeling equipment safely and efficiently.
•Perform final visual and physical quality control inspections on finished products to ensure zero defects before shipping to customers.
•Monitor end-of-line conveyor systems and packaging equipment to prevent jams, bottlenecks, or product backups on the main production floor.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free end-of-line workstation in strict accordance with 5S industrial principles and plant safety regulations.
•Collaborate closely with machine operators, forklift drivers, material handlers, and shift supervisors to achieve daily manufacturing & logistics targets.
•Participate actively in shift handovers to ensure seamless communication regarding end-of-line equipment performance and palletizing quotas between crews.

Qualifications
•Previous work experience in a heavy manufacturing, packaging, industrial production, warehouse, or general labour environment is strongly preferred.
•Proven capability and willingness to consistently lift, push, pull, stack, and carry items weighing over 50 lbs throughout an entire shift.
•Must possess CSA-approved steel-toed work boots and be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves).
•Commitment to work your chosen schedule reliably, whether straight days, straight nights, or a rotating continental shift pattern.
•Reliable daily transportation to and from the industrial facility located in Paris, Ontario (please verify transit availability for your specific shift hours).
•Strong commitment to workplace safety rules, punctuality, and excellent attendance to support continuous production line operations.
•Ability to stand, bend, reach, twist, and maneuver around pallets and conveyors for extended periods while handling heavy materials safely.
•Legal authorization to work full-time in Canada with a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
