Responsibilities
• Must be comfortably able to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Capability to maintain clear, effective verbal communication in a dynamic industrial setting.
• Flexibility to work 15 hours a week over a mutually agreed-upon 3-day day shift schedule.
• Reliable transportation to the industrial facility located in Brantford, Ontario.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada for any employer.
• Set up, operate, and tend plating machines to coat metal or plastic products with protective layers.
• Monitor chemical bath levels, temperatures, and immersion times according to technical specs.
• Inspect finished parts visually to detect surface defects and ensure strict quality control standards.
• Transport materials and heavy racks safely around the workstation just outside the production floor.
• Maintain clear, verbal communication with the team regarding machinery statuses and production flow.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Plating Operator, Plating Machine Operator, or similar manufacturing role.
• Clear verbal communication skills to receive instructions and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Strong attention to detail to identify surface imperfections during the finishing stage.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision near a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety protocols and safe lifting techniques.
