Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, run, and tend plating machines to apply protective layers.
- Quality Control: Monitor chemical baths (levels, temps, immersion times) and visually inspect finished parts for defects.
- Material Handling: Safely transport materials and heavy racks around the workstation (requires regular lifting of up to 50 lbs).
- Team Collaboration: Maintain clear verbal communication in English with team members and supervisors regarding production flow.
- Safety First: Adhere to all industrial safety protocols, including proper PPE use.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven background as a Plating Operator, Machine Operator, or in a similar manufacturing/finishing role.
- Physical Capability: Comfortably and safely able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Communication: Clear verbal English communication skills to collaborate effectively.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong eye for detail to catch surface imperfections and maintain high quality control.
- Reliability: Independent worker with reliable transportation to the Brantford facility.
