Responsibilities
- Oversee production, including equipment readiness and inter-departmental communication.
- Ensure high standards in product excellence, output, delivery, and client contentment.
- Allocate tasks to optimize output and team strengths.
- Manage personnel from hiring to resource deployment, meeting operational needs.
- Guide staff by setting clear aims and performance benchmarks.
- Develop team members through training on equipment and techniques.
- Uphold a secure workplace and encourage safe conduct.
- Adjust staffing levels and work assignments, including scheduling and breaks.
- Manage employee reviews and corrective actions.
- Drive process improvements in key areas like delivery, safety, and quality.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of production supervisory experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to delegate and prioritize based on employer needs
- Good computer skills
- Strong Health and Safety knowledge
- Experience in a metal fabricating environment is necessary
- CNC experience (asset)
- Previous experience working with teams of over 30 people
- You have strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Overhead Crane Training (asset)
- Positive attitude and willingness to look at alternative solutions
- You have knowledge of ISO standards, lean manufacturing concepts and you have the ability to read detailed blueprints and schematics
