As a construction project coordinator, you will play a vital strategic and operational support role essential to the smooth execution of site operations. Based 100% directly on-site, your daily routine will center on close and continuous collaboration with the project manager and the general superintendent. The construction sector in Quebec requires fluent, clear, and rigorous communication with all stakeholders on the ground, from sub-contractors to engineers. Full proficiency in French is essential to effectively manage technical documentation, draft progress reports, and handle daily site communications.
On a daily basis, the construction project coordinator will act as the key liaison between the site trailer and field operations. In this industrial management role, your core responsibilities will include tracking Requests for Information (RFIs), handling change orders, updating administrative and technical plans, and controlling material deliveries. Your 100% on-site presence will allow you to track concrete pours and interior finishing progress in real time, ensuring that sub-contractors adhere to quality standards and project schedules. • Assist in preparing project closeout documents, maintenance manuals, and deficiency punch lists.
Qualifications
• Strong organizational skills and exemplary rigor in handling technical project documentation.
• Excellent teamwork ability, interpersonal skills, and effective communication with site personnel.
• Adaptability and strong stress management skills in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficiency in construction project management software such as Autodesk Build (PlanGrid), MS Project, and Excel.
• Practical knowledge of concrete structure execution stages and multi-residential finishing phases.
• Diploma/degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant project coordination experience working for a general contractor.
• Practical experience or solid familiarity with multi-story concrete structure construction sites.
• Requirement to work 100% in person on the construction site located in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for site-related travel as needed.
