As a Project Manager – Industrial/Commercial Construction, your missions will be diverse and varied, ensuring every day is a stimulating new challenge. Here's an overview of your responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret project plans and specifications.
Monitor and manage project progress, including budget, schedule, and deliverables.
Coordinate subcontractor visits during pre-project phases for bidding.
Plan the work execution schedule and monitor its progress.
Quantify and estimate the costs of materials, equipment, and labor.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, suppliers).
Contribute to opportunity, feasibility, preliminary, and plans and specifications studies.
Conduct frequent site visits in Montreal and its surroundings and supervise work execution until project closeout.
Coordinate and take minutes of project follow-up meetings with all stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality, and contractual requirements.
Provide quick solutions in case of on-site problems.
Evaluate work performed and make recommendations for progressive payments.
Participate in the selection, evaluation, and supervision of subcontractors.
Negotiate agreements and ensure a good collaborative environment.
Maintain an updated database of reliable subcontractors.
Monitor and ensure budget adherence.
Participate in the site opening process and verify required documents.
Participate in the invoice approval process and justify budget discrepancies if necessary.

Qualifications
Qualifications Required for the Project Manager – Industrial/Commercial Construction Position
To excel in this Project Manager – Industrial/Commercial Construction role, we're looking for strong skills and relevant experience.
Education in project management, construction engineering, architecture, building, or equivalent experience in commercial and industrial construction.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in site management, coordination, estimation, and project management.
Experience in expansion, industrial or commercial fit-out, office layout, or general renovation projects.
Proficiency in estimation software and Excel is required, and knowledge of AutoCAD or Draftsite, as well as Revit (an asset), will be appreciated.
High level of rigor, autonomy, and sense of responsibility.
Mobilizing leadership, excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong understanding of safety standards and the Building Code.
