Responsibilities
Experience preparing project charters, master project plans, risk analyses, and risk management plans.
- Experience coordinating municipal resources and technical resources to achieve project objectives
- Ability to successfully manage project scope
- Experience administering change controls to communicate and ensure understanding of any necessary changes to relevant stakeholders
- Ability to manage timelines, budgets, quality, and communications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and related technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, stakeholder groups, and project sponsors, including situations involving differing priorities or competing interests.
- Experience preparing and presenting project governance materials, including status reports, dashboards, issue logs, and risk registers to the Senior PM and IT leadership team.
Qualifications
1. Education:
- 2-year certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, e-Commerce or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management certification or designation (e.g. CAPM, PgMP, PMP) is an asset.
2. Experience:
- More than five (5) years on IT projects; and
- More than two (2) year as a designated Project Manager.
