Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end planning, scope, timelines, financial budgets, and risk mitigation for major financial IT initiatives.
Structure and lead project governance bodies (steering, tactical, and escalation committees) while delivering actionable executive reporting.
Maintain precise oversight of project financials, resource allocation, forecasting, and tracking within enterprise tools.
Proactively identify, document, and manage critical dependencies, risks, issues, and assumptions across multiple tracks.
Manage scope change requests, performing thorough impact assessments and securing necessary governance sign-offs.
Align and coordinate activities among business partners, IT teams, architects, analysts, and external vendors.
Support deployment activities, operational handovers, and post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned.
Qualifications
Extensive track record as a Senior Project Manager leading complex, high-visibility IT programs.
Demonstrated mastery of financial tracking, risk management, project governance, and C-level reporting.
Strong knowledge of hybrid delivery models integrating formal project governance with Agile practices.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Project Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
Assets: PMP, SAFe, or Scrum certifications; previous exposure to banking, treasury, accounting, or regulatory financial domains; proficiency with Planview, Azure DevOps, Jira, Power BI, or advanced Excel.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
