Responsibilities
Participate in hiring maintenance staff in collaboration with the Vice-President and management team.
Supervise on-site employees, monitoring attendance, performance, and quality of work.
Manage staff schedules and approve weekly timesheets.
Utilize Yardi platform effectively to oversee work orders and preventive maintenance programs.
Vendor Relations:
Secure and manage service contracts directly or through team participation.
Approve and monitor purchase orders to ensure work meets quality standards and deadlines.
Tenant Relations:
Address tenant requests and complaints with professionalism and urgency.
Foster positive relationships through regular, proactive communication aligned with the company's mission and values.
Use Yardi to efficiently manage tenant service requests.
Operations & Maintenance:
Coordinate special projects and operational initiatives as directed by management.
Ensure property schedules and deadlines are met.
Identify and resolve issues raised by tenants and stakeholders promptly.
Keep management informed of urgent matters in real-time.
Prepare monthly property reports for management review.
Serve notices to tenants as part of routine operations.
Oversee scheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure buildings and systems are properly maintained.
Be available to respond to emergencies when necessary.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor property conditions, including damage, cleanliness, and safety.
Financial Oversight:
Assist in preparing annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, explaining variances as needed.
Collaborate with the team to manage tenant accounts receivable.
Oversee tenant move-ins and move-outs.
Perform additional tasks related to property management operations.
Qualifications
College degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in Commercial Real Estate, preferably in shopping centers.
Hands-on experience with general construction repairs.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office suite.
Meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strong follow-up capabilities.
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
