Responsibilities
Procurement & Inventory Management
Strategic Purchasing: Execute the purchase of goods, materials, components, and services in strict alignment with production forecasts.
System Integrity: Maintain all purchasing activities within **Aquilon**, including saving weekly raw data snapshots from purchasing worksheets.
Data Accuracy: Manage stock code replenishment factors, lead times, and historical pricing records within the system.
Inventory Control: Oversee inventory adjustments resulting from in-house movements and reconcile deliveries against orders to resolve discrepancies or overages.
Supplier Relations & Negotiation
Strategic Sourcing: Evaluate and qualify multiple suppliers for all parts to ensure redundancy and protect the company from supply chain disruptions.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and contracts to optimize company costs without sacrificing quality or availability.
Relationship Management: Act as the primary interface between suppliers and internal departments (such as Compact Compression) to resolve procurement issues.
Compliance: Manage the return and non-conformance process (RMA) and stay current on policies and regulations impacting purchasing.
Tracking & Reporting
Order Oversight: Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders, with a specific focus on communicating the status of long-lead-time items to the broader team.
Proactive Problem Solving: Work directly with suppliers to manage order changes, cancellations, and expediting.
Management Insights: Provide regular reporting to the management team regarding potential supply chain risks and strategic opportunities.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiency: Proven experience using **Aquilon** (or similar ERP systems) for procurement and data management.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret forecasting data and maintain precise records.
Negotiation Skills: Strong professional presence with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and internal departmental needs.
Adaptability: Capacity to manage "moving parts," including expediting orders and handling non-conformance issues in a fast-paced environment.
