Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with various departments, supervisors, and other members of the Petroleum department
Review purchase requests for accuracy and verify stock availability before processing orders
Prepare purchase orders
Create item entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Process purchases in accordance with established policies
Follow up on back orders (BO)
Coordinate with the shipping and receiving department and suppliers to schedule deliveries
Ensure order accuracy upon receipt of goods
Assist with returns when necessary
Help maintain purchasing records, reports, and price lists
Monitor inventory in Microsoft Dynamics 365 as items are issued
Compile inventory reports, recording quantities, types, and values of available items in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Set Min/Max levels in Dynamics 365 based on purchase history
Prepare orders to replenish inventory according to minimum stock requirements
Reconcile computer-calculated inventory with physical stock counts
Prepare orders and shipping slips for deliveries to various sites
Track shipments to ensure confirmed receipt at destination and update status in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma (minimum requirement)
College diploma (DEC), vocational diploma (DEP), or equivalent in a relevant field (an asset)
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or logistics
Key Skills
Proficient in computer tools, including Excel and purchasing/inventory management software
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (an asset)
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness
Ability to work well in a team and build strong professional relationships
