Advantages- Permanent full-time work- Respected company- Benefits Package- Strong retention and stability- Growth and Learning Opportunities- 8 am - 4:30 pm - Well lit and organized shop- Independent Work EnvironmentResponsibilitiesReporting to the Branch Manager and Shop Foreman, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be requiredto perform diagnoses and repairs on all Heavy Duty Equipment• Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of various components of a variety of equipment• Requisition parts, materials, and equipment as needed• Complete detailed, clear, and concise work orders• Maintain order, cleanliness, work output, and safe working conditions in own work area• Communicate with the Branch Manager immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.• Communicate with parts department efficiently to obtain needed parts. Know all the required parts that will be needed to complete the job assigned. Work with the parts department and their staff to best serve the customer• Participate in company and manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the shop foreman• Keeps shop area neat, clean, and safe.
